Is there a job out there for a person who seems to be treated as a cofindent by almost everyone?
Do you ever feel that you are the one that everyone else comes to, to complain about someone else or to talk to about their problems and ask for advice.
Yes. You should consider counseling as a career choice. Obviously people see something in you that is trustworthy. So expand on that by going into the counseling field.
It would depend if that person enjoyed the fact that people came to them with their problems. If they did enjoy offering a listening ear or even advice, then counselling would be the obvious answer.
There are plenty of jobs that need this skill. For example, a counselor (guidance counselor at a school, camp counselor, marriage counselor) or therapist.
