If passion refers to sexual drive, it is really very difficult on men's part to keep alive the passion for years with same partner. Men are made this way that their sexual drive asks them to have different partners at different intervals of time. But if passion refers to emotional love, It is very much possible to keep passion alive for years till death with the single/same partner.

I think it is common to want more passion after being together for years. You may just be looking for spice. Not saying what you have is not nice. You think you are missing something and that thought can bring all kinds of feelings and new ideas.Good and bad.If you are willing to share and make your love feel fresh and new again like when you just met. Then you can not only keep the passion but increase that with love.It takes so much more energy and time to begin with someone new and find out that is not what you really wanted.I think if the love is their and you just want more then find ways that you both can enjoy to keep the romance and passion forever.

Both people have to want to keep it alive.
One person will never convince another to put in more effort if they're heart is not into it. (At least not for very long)
Being spontaneous is very important as well as never stop dating, sharing wet kisses, holding hands/touching outside of bed, Take showers together from time to time and make time for weekend getaways or vacations a few times a year.
If need be keep a secret "lovers calendar" to track your individual efforts. If you notice it's been a while since you've done something special then do something even if it's leaving a love note in their car, a naughty voice mail, or giving a foot massage after work.
The best way to keep passion alive is to never let it die!
