Men are more so concern with how they will be seen even if you have shown yourself at your most vunerable state. To be respected is key for them. you must always know that they are "THE MAN". It isn't to necessarily to block you out, yet just to make you aware of there strength and masculinity. you must learn to read their small gestures that show their feelings in small ways.

Men are wired to be less verbal and more spatial.  Women are wired to be more verbal.  It's a scientific thing.  Luckily, the genetic blueprint is female, so we do get some talkative males.

I think that it is according to how they are raised , their maternal instincts and the genre , overall , how caring and loving a man becomes depends on his upbringing good or bad , his heart and his will . I have met several , loving caring men (@ work)that  were very emotional and kind... it all depends on their mindset , most men that do not show emotions are really emotion pits , they just hadnt learned to express it fully . Its like a stray dog , (excuse me gentlemen) if you find a stray dog and feed him , he is frightened and untrusting , well SOME men are the same way , it isnt a natural instinct for man that is used as frequently , the more you feed the old dog , the more new tricks he learns , slow and easy until he builds trust ...same rendition lol:)

It is hard for men to show their feelings because, traditionally, men have been expected to tough and to hide their feelings. Women have always been taught that it was okay and expected to show their feelings. Only (relatively) recently has society been able to accept and expect men to be softer and women to be tougher.

I do not think it is a matter of hiding their feelings as it is they are instinctively different than woman.  Woman need to talk, nurture their loved ones, fix everything that they feel is wrong in their relationship, and so forth.  This does not make them crazy, this makes them women.  On the flip side, men are not that way.  While women have more of a tendency to think with their brain bilaterally, men are more left-brained and quite simple.  When they are quiet, women perceive them as "uncaring."  Men handle their problems, including caring for his family and loved ones, quietly.  Listen to conversations between women.  They talk about their families and the presence of their family is where their pride usually lays.  Men, on the other hand, are talking about pistons, throttles, and Nascar.  They are not worried about solving life's difficulties with their friends.  They are happy with idle chitchat.

It's just not something that feels natural for us. It's how our minds work.

It's not hard, they just don't want to.  I wish I could list a list of names, but I won't!  I know many males and men who express their feelings.  Most men have to live up to their Ego (best friend) and refrain.  As for "women" it doesn't always come natural, some women are quite crafty and know exactly what to say, to get what they desire from any man.  Then there are those women that are sincere and honest and get stepped on like a door mat.....Oh Boy!

lol I just read some of these comments that women have written and its no wonder "men" behave this way. You make excuses for them to live up to and then you complain.....which one is it?!?!?!  Excuses or Complaints

Women are emotional beings by nature. Men have to live logically and not permit emotions to rule their thoughts.

As a man I can tell you no, the reason I do not have a hard time is because of the way I was raised.  It can be hard at times, as a guy I can tell you we are simple to figure out, you feed us, say good things, and do naughty things to us and we treat you good.  I refer to this a being a dog, are men dog's?, hell yes we are, rub my head, feed me, do naughty stuff to me and I am your guy, lol.

if a man cries it is a sign of weakness. If they show their feeling it is a weakness. woman are diff and its ok for them to cry and show their feelings. But real men need to be strong and hold it together/
