Should one get married after a long or short courtship and what, if any are the positives and negatives of either?

I would say no. I had the unfortunate experience of marrying someone after a short courtship. The marriage ended in 9 months. I am happily married now. I wouldn't suggest that you marry someone you just met, nor would I suggest a 10 year courtship.

My opinion is that it shouldn't matter the length of the relationship.  It's the love you feel for the person.  I knew I loved my husband after the first kiss.  I loved how he looked at me and touched my face that day.  I was scared but letGod lead the way  We had our baby first and then a week ago we got married, and it is the best decision I made.  So if, you feel that strong for someone do it.  Shorrt or long relationship, everyone starts some where
