Would you rather be hurt by the truth , or pleased by a lie?
Definitely, I prefer to get hurt by the truth, yet I never get pleased by a lie though it is favorable to me.
Most people will lie when they say they want the truth, because in reality they don't want to see it nor feel how it hurts. It takes a strength to face yourself, warts and all and then change your behaviors. I personally didn't like to see the truth, but have worked very hard in deconstructing those bits and pieces of myself that lack integrity. It seems that any part of oneself that lacks integrity, will hurt if not addressed. So now I'd like the truth regardless, and I can now deal much better with how that may hurt. Afterall, you can't put light into darkness unless you are prepared to see the darkness.
I will be rather hurt by a truth because in case of lie, I will be happy for some moments till I know I have succeeded but when the reality strikes down it will more hurtful than actually be hurt by a truth.
