   I don't know if normal is the word, but that's pretty close to how I would describe my dating years as a single mom.  On the one hand, you end up with less guys who will go out with you due to the fact that you have a kid so you end up being alone a lot more than other single women your age.  However, the few guys who do want to go out with you tend to be a bit more mature, know what they want in life and are more serious about settling down versus dating just for the sake of dating.
   
   In the end, I was glad for the experience I had dating as a single mom because I think it spared me relationships with guys who were interested in fooling around and I was more interested in settling down, at least in a more serious relationship.

      Awesome. You are right! We do find the good quality men my problem is the waiting and constant rejection. I get more rejected then accepted. I don't bring my kids around the men right away but then the men get a false sense of its just me and him lol

      Men who reject you  may not be ready to be an instant dad, so don't take it too personally, just put yourself in their shoes. Hang in there, and continue to believe that you are worth having a great man and having a great dad for your kids too.

   it is for it takes a long while to show your true feeling for another for the single person. if it wasn't for loneliness or being sexually unfulfilled on both sex people may show there real feeling more but who want to be someone fool, but in time the person will share there feeling and in that time they will see so until then you have to date to meet some one and that is purgatory. and still its fun to meet new women for me

   i agree dating is hard these days. i am not a single mom but watch out for creepy guys on line etc I just told him basically what i thought haha.
