I don't believe you can "make" yourself trust another person anymore than you can make yourself fall "in love" with someone.
Trust like respect is something that is usually gained overtime. A person has to "demonstrate" honesty and integrity. For how long? It varies from person to person.
As for having been hurt in the past and applying it to a current relationship....etc The trust issue is really about the (individual) trusting (them self) choose a "trustworthy" mate the next time around.
Until you (believe) again that (you) are a "good judge of character" when it comes to selecting a mate for yourself, you're not likely to trust anyone!
If I don't (trust myself) to (choose) women with a pure heart there is nothing those women can say or do to convince me otherwise. It takes time to rebuild your confidence in your dating choices. You also have to bury your past relationship by seeing your ex as an (individual) not as a representation of their whole gender.
It's difficult to regain the trust after your partner did unfaithful doings against you. I believe that once a liar is always a liar. Second chance maybe considered but if things will happen again - better cut the connection between you. No use to continue a relationship that is full of deceit and infidelity.

What is the best way to build back trust in a relationship?I don't want to get into details, but, someone I care about did something in the past that required a lot of time to forgive. Although I have forgiven them, I can't seem to get over suspicions and trust them like I used to. Any advice?

Belief is to believe in something. It can be true or false. But we believe, out of trust, faith and sometimes because the world believes in it.Beliefs are the old thoughts, that sometimes you hang on in your life for generations. You have the power to make your own beliefs. There are two types of...

Do you believe that with trust there is no jealousy, or is there always jealousy?I think if a person really trust the other one, there will be no jealousy. What do you think? Are you a jealous person or do you just can't trust?
