If given the chance to be with the perfect partner, do you think it would last?

This person will have all the qualities you want in a lover. If you think it won't last, at least how long would you give it?

NO, as there is no such thing as a perfect partner.  Everyone in this world has a bad side and a good side.  It is up to the partner to accept those both sides of a person and include them in their lives.

What may appear as good now, as the relationship develops may not be so good and one partner may grow to dislike that behaviour or attribute which was fine when they first met or during the honeymoon phase but after marriage and a few kids may not be that nice.  It is then that you need patience, love, and give-n-take.  Otherwise your relationship will fail.

That may be true Zubair. People change and so do their preferences. I guess nothing can really be perfect in this world. Everything needs patience, love, and the willingness to both give and take, as you mentioned above. Thank you for your insight.smile

I am with the perfect partner, and we have been married almost 13 years. It took me 10 years to find him, and I wouldn't trade him for anything.

Perfect would never work. Eventually I would anticipate what he was want to do and it would get boring. I honestly don't know.

You may be right. Either of you might change, and as peeviously mentioned, it might not always be for the better. Thank you for answering.

If by perfect you mean having what you (need) when you need it then I believe that relationship will last until one of you dies. Note I said what you (need) and not what you (want). The real trick is (knowing) when you have the perfect person for yourself.

I am with a good man-married over 20 years.  But it is far from perfect.  It has its ups and downs but wouldn't trade him for anything.
