Is the current fashion trend of beards for men attractive to women and if so, why? Or why not?

If you look at Pinterest, bearded men are everywhere! Do women find this current trend attractive and if so, why? Or why not?

    Yes! Yes, yes, yes.

    Yes.

Why? I don't know. I've always been more attracted to men with facial hair and I love me a good beard. I'm glad more people are jumping on the bandwagon. I guess there's something appealing about the rugged look... it's very 'manly'.

Okay, so that's one vote for yes!  It seems for you it's just simply more attractive and that's a good reason.

I don't like beards, personally.  Shave it all off!

LOL... that's a negative to go against one positive so far.  Can you say why you don't like it?

I am tired of beards. Fortunately, most of the bearded men I know keep their beards neatly trimmed. I hate a beard that grows down the neck. Ick! And who can stand the duck dynasty beards? What I really hate is this trend of two days stubble on the face. I don't know why men think this is attractive. Several years ago it was goatees, they made men look mean a lot. And those dumb little triangular tufts under the bottom lip. Really?

I love a clean shaven man. They look neater, cleaner and you actually know what they look like. Funny story, my former husband had a mustache all the years I've known him except one brief period of like a month where he shaved it off. I had to go in the other room and laugh. He had no upper lip. I don't like mustaches anymore though. I guess now you know how I feel.

Your face is too nice looking to grow a beard.

BTW, that guy in the picture could be very handsome without that horrible mustache let alone the beard.

You flatter me again lambservant.  Sorry to say, I do have a beard at the moment, hence my question.  My wife likes it but others have given me negative feedback. She has always loved a couple of days stubble though.  I guess it's horses for courses.

My wife isn't a fan of the 'mountain man' beards in vogue right now. She likes facial hair, just not that kind of facial hair. I have to admit that the men in pictures (like the one you posted with this question) look absolutely ridiculous. They're trying to jam the scraggly beard into a "hip" and "fashionable" photo shoot and it just looks like they stuffed a homeless man into a suit and loaded him up with hair gel. Certain styles never go out of date, but this isn't one of them. I told my wife that these beards were the bell bottoms of the 2010s. All of these men will look back 20 years from now and say "man, I looked like an idiot".

That's a good point.  I'm sure any "fashionable" person will look back and think that about a lot of things.  My motto is to be current but not overly trendy.  But fashion and appearance are a personal thing, so have fun with them.

Lol! You don't need any more of a reason than that.  I'll put you down as an emphatic vote for clean shaven!!
