   It is a preference. A fetish can only be about a physical item, not a person or body type. A paraphillia is when a situation or time must be present in order for the individual to achieve sexual gratification (usually orgasm).

   Although I'm not into "plus size (fat, bbw) women" I would imagine those who are would not consider it to be a "fetish" anymore than those men who are attracted to thin/fit women.
   The word "fetish" is usually attributed to a specific body part like (feet) or even an item like (shoes). I've never heard it used in conjunction with a whole physical being of a person.
   Fetish is also used to describe people who have somewhat "freaky"/"abnormal" desires or they're possibly in need of some help.
   Thankfully we live on a planet with over 7 Billion people! Odds are in everyone's favor that no matter what size, height, color, or shape we are someone considers us to be "their type"!

   Anything that is a category is a fetish. BBW is a category, just like redheads or midgets. Check out the websites for it. If you like the personality of a particular BBW, that's a different story. If you single them out as a category only, that's a fetish.

      Fetish - "a form of sexual desire in which gratification is linked to an abnormal degree to a particular object, item of clothing, part of the body, etc." That doesn't sound like weight, height, skin color and so on to me. Those are preferences:)
