Do you consider New York City a romantic city?

Many romantic comedies are set in New York City, but you I've never heard anyone refer to New York as a romantic place.

I guess it can be.  It must be for many people.  I think any city could be a romantic city, depending on the couple.

The city is just a backdrop.
It's the couple that makes it appear romantic.
Go to any large city where there are various activities, restaurants, theaters, nightclubs,  and tall buildings lit up at night with a skyline and it almost feels magical. A sort of urban Christmas tree!
Whether it's Chicago's Lakeshore Drive/Michigan Ave, San Francisco, LA, NYC, Pittsburgh, Seattle, San Diego, Paris, & so on.
Every major city lit up a night that has pedestrian traffic wandering through shops/restaurants/nightclubs and taxi cabs cruising the streets looks similar. They all have 5 star hotels..etc

I don't think romance depends on a city. It can be found anywhere

Romance is not specifically found in any place from within and laid out as a certain place of romance. It depends on where you have experienced that romantic moment. It could be anywhere.
