    What is Marriage Equality?

What does it mean to YOU, when you hear the words, Marriage Equality?

It just means gay couples can legally get married just like straight couples. Nothing in my personal life changed.

What does that accomplish? And I don't understand how they are equal when you have to change the rules to make it happen. Seriously, how does same gender, and different genders become equal? This is nothing personal, it is an inquiry.

I suspect the point is there should have never been a rule against gay couples getting married just as there should not have been slavery. Having to change rules to pursue equality isn't unusual. The accomplishment is gay couples can now marry.

With all due respect, that didn't answer my comment.
It is not an accomplishment, it is a powerful political victory for a minority that wanted to be mainstream. With the amount of time, money, and political pressure, CU c/have done the same thing.

Brad it appears we just disagree.
If gay couples wanted the right to get married and now they legally can then (they) accomplished (their) goal!
Do you not see that? Does it bother you they can get married?
It sure seems like it does.

It should have accomplished something for the country, and not just the bullies that used their power for themselves.

SCOTUS decision was political and had nothing to do with equality, as the two relationships are diff and confusing to compare

Are you saying gay couples were bullies because they wanted to be allowed to legally marry like heterosexual couples?
All Supreme court decisions are political.
      Presidents choose the judges.
Very few people are confused by gay marriage.
