Perverted Emails

   I have only been here a few days and already someone has emailed me from HubPages, telling me how their c*** throbs when they look at my photo. I was not aware that HubPages was a dating site or a place to look for flings. Yes, flirting will take place but to receive an email like this from someone I have never even talked to disgusts me. Is this reportable? Can I block them?

         I'd love to, but I only remember his screen name on here. Is it allowed to post screen names when speaking badly about someone on here? I know other forums I've been on ban people who do that.

      you can block their email address and then forward the offending email to HubPages. that's what i do when i get stuff like that. oh, and ignore them.

            There is no record of any emails being sent from this account through HubPages.  If you want to forward the email in question to team at hubpages dot com, I will take a look.

      I agree with Cags on this one send it to the hubteam and let them know about it. And maybe bring his name to our attention so we can steer clear of him

      Maybe he just uses the account to harass people. Who knows? I know some people must have more than one account. I can't picture anyone having an account for 3 years with 0 hubs or followers. I mean, the very first day I joined, I couldn't wait to jump right in.
      
      But yes, the email I received told me his hubber name was jmel.

      I don't mean to "dis" you, but it has been my experience that these guys like to spread their dirt in the shadows. Perhaps now that someone has outed him, he can get some help. I, for one, would be happy to help him off the Hub Pages site.

   I think you will find that most of us are pretty decent, but definitely forward the email to Hub Pages staff. If you want to unmask him, that's fine, and well-deserved, but unless you're willing to post the whole email, they can just deny it, and come after you for defamation. Unfortunately that's how some perverts work - finding a way to make the victims look foolish when they come forward.
   
   You can refuse all email, but if you don't want to do that, perhaps Hub Pages can just block his access - or just ban him. That would be even better.

      Look in your trash folder.  If it was less than 3 days ago, it should still be there.
