The State of the Church Today

Ezek34:1-31, IIPet4:17, Ish29:13

This generation as entered the season we call the church-age. A period of judgment. A time when judgment must begin in the church, and if it starts at us, what it shall be for the ones that still do not obey God is unimaginable. It is a prophecy ‘against’. The time of prophecy is past: it is the time when the rightful owner of the church will suddenly come in. For long, we have not prophetically interpreted this scripture in the light of God’s calendar but we have only been able to interpret it literally and based on our longings and desire.

For the coming of the Lord is not a gentle one, not the coming into just an assembly or a service, or a program. Yes, he must first come now before he comes again. The first coming is the coming for the restoration (restitution) of all things. This time, it is to give His church, its rightful orientation and name. the head of the church most times has been pushed aside as the members of council of the church board meets, the elders, reverend and deacons meet to discuss on how to run the church, what to do with the flock and push aside both the head/owner of the church and the overseer (Holy Spirit) calling on them anytime they needed them. They make them their errand boys.

The church is in total darkness, we are no longer bothered about the well being of the flock once the shepherd has got something to eat and could see enough flock, and then he feels he is succeeding. The church is now filled with tyrants who parade themselves as the church leaders. Ezek34:4”…but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled”

The worst thing I have often seen under the heavens in the church of the Lord is the act of forcing men to do the things which their natural nature is against “the will of God” as the scripture as said “my ways are not your ways neither are my thoughts yours” “the way that seemeth right unto men, the end thereof is destruction”. This forceful act of keeping the precept of God makes the grace and the cross of Christ of non effect. We do not mean to overrule the place of discipline. Ish29:13 “…and their fear towards me is taught by the precept of men” the fear of God is taught with dos and don’ts in the church or what else do you expect of such gatherings? The most rampant and most dangerous practice of interpolation that I have discovered in this generation churches is found in ICorin2:13 “…comparing spiritual with spiritual…”

The church has changed the order of things, for in our assemblies, spiritual things are now being taught in comparison with secular and carnal things. What a pathetic case. The most unfortunate aspects is, they think they are on the right track because they form a plan, show it to God and the Lord blesses their plan in order to save his name as he did in the ordination of Saul. They call on Jesus (the head of the church) and the Holy Spirit (church overseer) in their gatherings as errand boys whenever they needed them yet the Lord still responded.

The church has imbibed for herself, rules, regulations and laws that can govern and direct him in the fear and ways of the Lord. The laws or methods of which was confessed by the greatest apostle (Paul) to be the most futile and useless especially as his experience was. If the first (early) church could not base their belief and doctrines on the wisdom and brilliancy of the thoughts of men, how much more now when the world as entered into the bottomless pit of continual advance in worldly wisdom and knowledge.

Imagine how Paul could say in ICorin1:17 “…but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be of non effect” ICorin2:4 “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power”. The reverse is the case for the church. We have our speech now filled with critical and logical thinking of men spiced up with reasonable, argumentative academic views in a correct theological perspective. We now try and strive to do well and to be good: we strive to be saints and not sinners; we strive to be holy, we now strive to pray and fellowship with God. We now strive to give and serve; we now strive to hear God, we strive to prepare for His coming. Then why do we still talk about grace? It would be useless to still talk about grace in situation as this. For strive and work is absent in the presence of grace. By grace we have the ability and capacity “to will and do his good pleasures” and thus enter into his rest. This generation has hidden grace in an ancient cupboard with the key not found!

All our effort is futile, its better we push all things aside and go back to the practice of the old testaments, beginning to kill goats, rams, cows and sheep for the remission of sin, peradventure ungodliness will reduce, or we eat, drink and sleep then tomorrow we die. But we say nay to all these. For they are not the solution, if they were, it means the head of the church has suffered in vain and his death is of none effect but God forbid. For it was written in the book of revelation, no one, not a person nor angel was worthy to break the seal of the book that determines the destiny of mankind but the lamb (the very son of God) that was slained is the only worthy one. If we continue to do the will of God in the precepts or administrative skills of men, what makes us different from the moralist?

For indeed judgment must begin in the house of God. I speak by revelation of the Holy Spirit. The Lord (the head of the church) in the presence of the Holy Spirit (the overseer of the church) shall suddenly come, his coming is not announced, only the latter days prophet can sense it, only the end-time believers and soldiers walking with the Lord and has plunged into the prophetic and have a glimpse of God’s calendar could perceive it. He shall come suddenly; Malachi has an idea, a knowledge, for we know in part, of what he is coming for. Malachi3:2-3 “…For he is a refiners’s fire and like a fuller’s soap and shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and he shall purify the sons of Levi…”

Hallelujah! He is coming with fire in these last days in which we walk. This is the event in which we await before the rapture. For peter had a clear understanding of what it was. Act3:21 “it is for the restitution of all things, the restoration of all things which the holy prophet of God has prophecied about since the world begun”. We understood and have a witnessing and confirmations in our spirit that now is the time, the time for the restoration of all things. It was no marvel to him that men could do his work anyhow. The church which he suffered for without the gate! The church which he shed his blood for so that it will be without blemish or wrinkle. As we write, I feel so much great anointing upon me, and my heart grows strong with the perception of the nearness and in fact the NOW-NESS of this event.

The head of the church has now come to take his place, to sit in his rightful position. Prophet Hosea prophesied of this time. Hosea6:2-3 “after two days will he revive us, in the third day he will raise us up and we shall live in his sight” the period is after two days, in the third day”. For two days have passed since the Lord went back into heaven, we understood by prophetic timing that 1000 years is tantamount to a day in God’s calendar. IIPet3:8. This is the time, the time of his raising, time of living in his sight. The time of the great shepherd going after his sheep. Ezek34:11 “for thus saith the Lord God; behold I even I will both search my sheep, and seek them outs” Haleluyah! The ones scattered abroad would be found. These are mysteries. Jesus in the book of John spoke of this period John10:16 “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and one shepherd”. This coming is not an option for the master. It is a must and not optional for his sheeps of other folds (muslims, budhist, hindist etc) he must bring together so we could have just one fold. What a wonderful age.

The time of judgement in the church, the church must first be judged, the shepherds are judged, the believers are judged Prophet Isaiah has idea of another thing that must happen in this age. Ish66:15-16”for behold the Lord will come with fire and with chariots like a whirl wind, to render his anger and fury and his rebuke with flames of fire, for by fire and by sword will the Lord plead with all flesh; and the slain of the Lord shall be many” many shall be slained at his coming. He comes to render his fury with fire; he comes to judge the church that has made His cross of non effect. The slain of the Lord shall be many. Prophet Ezekiel also has an idea. Ezek32:16 “…but I will destroy the fat and the strong, I will feed them with Judgement, Vs 20 “…Thus saith the Lord God unto them, behold, I even I will judge between…” the shepherds shall be judged. Vs 18 “seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? And have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?”

The church now thinks it is a small thing to have dilapidated the unity and oneness that existed in the early days of Christianity. The fathers cannot deny the benefits and dividends they got when the body of Christ was still a little together. “How beautiful it is for brethren to dwell together in unity…” it was the very plan of God for the church to be united but all of a sudden, our fathers began to catch visions and revelations that are odious. Visions of starting a new assembly, a new church, new cathedral. They began to get revelations of setting up brilliant doctrines. Of course, the scripture said it that the word of God is also for doctrines. But how awful our brethren today now formulate doctrines that are not contained in the scriptures out of the scriptures. Indeed, the judgement must begin in the house of God.

It is a period of coming back to the future “back to the future” the church is going back to the state of the first church (early church) the oneness and love has to be restored. It is the period of restoration of all things. It is an event, a revival that starts and never ends until the rapture. It determines the concluding section of the whole world. Back to the apostolic times. God is now raising men for himself who would function as an apostle. Apostolic demonstrations. Only few people are being trained by God to fit into the specific ministry. Yes, we hear God tell us things yet to happen from things that is already written and some happened from the now. He now trains men that could fit into all the ministry. Men that could enter the dimension of prophetic evangelistic campaign, prophetic teaching, prophetic pasturing, prophetic deliverance and administration. He is making his men in the secrets. It was not yet time for their revealing, John2:4. They see little manifestations and not yet recognized but the time is now!

The mysterious part of it is why it has pleased God to choose men of no reputation to be in such great and enormous agenda as these.
