Do you believe in self-regression (perception of past-life experiences) with hypnosis?

No, I don't.  I think mind is a product of physical processes occurring in the brain and body, not an attribute of a separate 'spirit' that infuses our bodies during gestation.  Therefore, I don't think that there is any possibility that we can be 'the same person inhabiting different bodies.'

Nor do I think that we can inherit individual memories from ancestors.

I think that the experiences you mention are likely akin to dreaming, and are quite possibly influenced by suggestion, and also by wish fulfillment fantasies.

I could be wrong, of course.  But that's honestly how it looks to me.

I've had past life hypnosis and for me personally it was a very vivid experience. And at no point was anything 'suggested'. Honestly if you haven't experienced it what are you basing your comments on?

I believe that regressive hypnosis can allow a person to access past lives and even future lives as well. Drs. Helen Wambach and Chet Snow actually spent several years involved in this. They regressed people to experience their past lives and then "progressed" people to envision their future lives. It was quite fascinating in that they all fell under 1 of 4 categories: a space society among the stars, a Road Warrior type of existence, small secluded spiritual groups living in nature and an antiseptic dome-type existence in an electronically controlled environment.

So, yes, I do believe in this method to retrieve info from our past lives.
