people believe that there are different ways too find god and that god is very much the same did you
Well, I've heard that to!
But when reading the Bible you find that it isn't so
easy. I have to examples:
The first is from Proverbs 16:25, it says:
"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man.
But the end thereof are the ways of death."
The other one is what Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14
"Enter ye in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate,
andbroad is the way, that leadeth todestruction, and
many are they that enter in thereby. For narrow is the
gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life,
and few are they thatfind it."
And in Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus said:
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord,Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth
the will of my Father who is in heaen.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord,Lord, did we not
prophesy by thy name, andby the namecast out demons,
and by thy namedo many mighty works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you;
depart from me, ye that workiniquity."
So, I think it is very important to find the true religion!
A religion that build it's faith, answers and manner of
living on the Bible!
After many years of believing one way in a god and being religiously vigilant in a certain denomination, I have come to the same conclusion. People find "god" in many ways and I feel that if it suits them, so be it. It is their lives.

As an athiest, why do you think that religious people believe in god?to me it is about fear. fear of dying and knowing it's over, fear of being responsible for your wrongs without having satan to blame for an influence. basically fear. why do you think they believe?

If humanity could some how manage to put God to rest and stop believing that some immortal being is going to come and save mankind do you think that putting your faith in humanity would bring the long awaited "heaven on Earth" faster? I do believe that this is plausable just no so...

If there is only one God, why are there so many religions?
