Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust!
That line represents and supports both burning and burial.
Ashes to Ashes- this suggests that to be burned to ashes.
Dust to Dust- Suggests Burial where we are recycled back into the earth in which we came from.
Gen 3:19 ) "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."
then you have priest that say this : "For as much as it hath pleased Almighty God of his great mercy to take unto himself the soul of our dear brother here departed, we therefore commit his body to the ground; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to eternal life, through our Lord Jesus Christ; who shall change our vile body, that it may be like unto his glorious body, according to the mighty working, whereby he is able to subdue all things to himself."
I really don't care how I am disposed of for my body will be nothing but a shell of what I once was. so burn me, cast me over the ocean, bury my or even chop me up and feed me to the dogs, but in the end no mater how its is done my body will once again become part of the earth therefor "Dust to Dust"
