I would assume the word "Commandments" in your question mean a commands from God.  It is common knowledge that man was created to be imperfect by Divine Will. It is also said that God gives man free will. Free will means choices provided are approved without punishment or coercion . Otherwise, it is not free will.

So if his divine will provides us free choice under imperfect conditions, man is allowed to makes choices that may not favorable to man. This means man may not have the ability to do what many call "Commandments"

The Almighty God is far too powerful to get hurt by or be affected man choices.

Here is some thing else, when God likes to see something happen, all he needs to do is just will it. It works for God all the time. Now a Command has more authority and power than a Will, Then do you really think that God's commands will fail?

Do you really believe if God wanted some thing he has to command an imperfect man with free will to achieve it?

Would it not be easier and sane for God to just Will what many call "Commandments" into place? The whole universe follows rules created by God with precision. Scientists and mathematicians see this everyday.

The question here is, do you really believe that what many call "Commandments of God" are really commands of God?

Does God really needs to command anything or anybody, when all he has to do is just peacefully will it?

Was Moses really requesting commandments or was he requesting signs from God?

Could what many call "Commandments" be the 10 guiding signs or 10 choices that you are on right track?
