seems so...most of his concepts where out of box for region he operated on but pretty usual for India and other old civilized world...for example jainism is religion with strict adherence to non violence since 5000 years....they never need turn the other cheek concept...when jesus was born they already had that 3000 years back...in India there is saying which is as old as India itself about neighbour being first relative...something like love thy neighbour...so on and so forth....
