Are these discussions considered against the rules. Where do you draw the line when having such discussions?
The only rule that appears to be followed in this forum is that of demonizing those who don't share you perspective. Actual arguments and thinking are not permitted, apparently. At best you will get a link from the Op-Ed section of the NY-Times. You would think that people so creative in personal attacks might actually have something substantive to say; however, you will find that this is rarely the case.
While discussions of the broad nature you suggest are not against the rules, they don't necessarily belong in the religion forum.
