Will humankind ever evolve into a peace loving species whose concerns of lovingkindness will replace its current condition of avariciousness, hatred, and warmongering?
As long as we continue to have religion and greed and deficient education, no. It will never happen.
If it does, God himself will send another wisecracker.
Maybe we're here to learn how to be nice to each other.
Nice in the 1400's meant
We are here to learn how to get out of here.
(After all, as the saying goes, "The only sure things about life are taxes and death.")
Morality is inherant. It's built in. Most people disagree with me ont this, but I don't care, I still believe it. People WANT and CHOOSE to be cruel. They can choose to be good instead. it's a choice. It's universal. The whole point of not being quite sure which is the right thing to do is what we're here to figure out. Follow your heart.
And when someone is "quite sure" but disagrees with your own "quite sure", what then? If both are right then morality is not universal, if one is wrong how do we determine which it is?
Or do you feel that anyone that is "quite sure" will agree with what you think?
So, what is wrong with yoga, janesix? You were very cruel telling us it is evil, when it clearly isn't. Then you went on to explain to us,(who considered it way TMI,) about the tongue(s) up the nose thing... it still creeps me out that you had to go out of yer way to expose that strange, horrible and unusual practice.
Practice what you preach, please.

Recently, while reading The Magic of Reality (2012) by Richard Dawkins, I came upon this interesting proclamation in the chapter titled, “Why Do Bad Things Happen?”:"Bad things happen because things happen....
