Televangelist Creflo Dollar Needs 200,000 People to Donate $300 Each So He Can Buy $65M Ministry Plane
Churches Will Have to Foot Part of Fuel Bill
By Leonardo Blair , CP Reporter

"The ministry's current airplane, was built in 1984, purchased by the ministry in 1999 and has since logged four million miles. Recently on an overseas trip to a global conference, one of the engines failed. By the grace of God, the expert pilot, who's flown with Creflo for almost 20 years, landed the plane safely without injury or harm to any passengers," said the appeal.

I think lots of people are getting turned off by money. We get calls every week for money and average at least 3 to 4  letters begging for money, and the churches seem to never stop. I wonder what Jesus would really think.  I am glad the plane landed safely and no passenger was hurt.

People might use things like this to be be turned off by religion.  However, I hope they don't really think its a good reason to reject what Jesus was really about, for example.  This is completely unnecessary to share the gospel of Christ. I believe in real good and real evil in the world.(Likely, like everyone else.)  That this kind of thing turns people away from something very good, is one example of a very bad thing in our world.

I agree completely.  One thing I might add.  People see this but don't really see the good that followers of Christ do.  Feeding the homeless, caring for the sick and elderly etc. . .  It is possible that society has something to do with it.  Newscasts are constantly broadcasting bad news and seldom show anything good.  This, in itself, shows how much we have fallen away from God.

I must agree with you money has nothing to do with the belif in Christ. The gospel is for all the rich and the poor. We need Jesus to keep the evil out of and away from our life. I still wish the money stuff would slow down.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to buy him an ass to ride?

I will not be sending him a dime. If he needs an example of a good working model, he should look at Katie Davis or other faithful missionaries who bring not only the gospel, but schools, hospitals, food and clean water to developing nations.

What's the matter with you people? He's one of the kings kids and if your pappy in heaven owns the cattle on a thousand hills, then Creflo deserves a jet plane. Don't you realise that if he has to wait 4 hours in an airport first class departure lounge, then thousands of people could be needlessly dying and going to hell whilst he's waiting twiddling his thumbs? To deny people the opportunity to hand over 300 of their hard earned is to deny them 300 divine lottery tickets aka the 100 fold harvest.
