In the Christian faith we believe that the words of the Bible are the key to truth. The Bible has much to say about sin. Here is one passage that addresses the issue of "sin".
"But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
The effects of sin is everywhere. We all have sinned and fallen short of God's expectations. That is why we need forgiveness...not just the ones who make it evident that they sin, but ALL of us.
