We each pray for different reasons.
In general though, we pray to praise, ask for things, confess, and give thanks.
we don't. since this is on an athiest theme i guess it is only right for me to answer. i never pray and never will as it is useless and make absolutely no sense. it's like after a disaster , religious people will say to pray for the victims, don't you think that praying has already failed since there are victims, kind of a stupid idea to pray for people after the fact.

Everywhere I look people are upset and threatening to leave over the forums and I don't get it. Who cares if someone disagrees with your point of view? You dont have to wake up next to them in the morning so why does it matter so much?

As a Christian, what is your viewpoint on praying and/or confessing God's Word? Is it something you practice? Have you or someone you know experienced the miraculous as a result of praying or confessing scripture?

We or the government punish different people for different reasons. What is the rationale behind that? Suppose the accused is going to die in a few days shall we punish?
