Do you pray before going to bed?

And if so, is it by the book or whatever comes to your heart and in your mind? Do you pray because you want to ask something from above or simply to give thanks and praise? This has got nothing to do with religion but more so on our faith and personal relationship with the Almighty. Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Oh, I sure do, but my prayers are always more about praises to our sweet LORD, and thanking Him for all that He has blessed me with, which is just the things I need in this world, nothing more.  I praise him for my nice warm bed that I get to sleep in every night, as I know all too well, there are some who do not have a warm bed to sleep in, and then I pray for the lost to have that very personal and intimate relationship with Him, and if there is a specific need at that moment, I pray and then I praise Him and thank Him in advance.  I do not only pray at night before going to bed, but really all throughout the day, during my hour commute to work and back home, and while at work, especially, when I have a moment!!!  We are to pray without ceasing.  Prior to prayer at night before I go to bed, I ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that I may need to repent of, as I sure do not want anything to hinder or put up a barrier between my Heavenly Father and His hearing my praise and prayers.  Sin blocks prayers.  And sure enough, I will wait about five minutes, nothing, then maybe a minute or two later, oops, there it is, Then for about ten to 15 minutes, He will reveal to me what I need to repent of on that day, and sometimes I was not even aware of such until He reveals such to me.  Then once I am finished praising Him in prayer, In Jesus' name, I enjoy sleeping with peace, as I have cast all my cares to Him, and that peace, His peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding falls down upon me, and I have the best sleep, like a little baby.

Thank you for your reply FaithReaper. I very much appreciate it. So far, only two hubbers replied to my question. I hope it's not a sign that not many do pray anymore specially at night, at the end of our day. Again, thank you. Peace and love to you~

I try to pray every night.  Sometimes, it is just to be thankful.  Other times someone who is close to me may need prayer and I pray for them.  Some times I am undecided on what to do, and I pray for me.  I have even prayed for my pets when they were sick or hurting.  So I guess I pray from my heart.

Melbelle, thank you for your feedback on my question.  I believed, it's best to pray from the heart as you do. Love from the Sky~

I try to remain in prayer or keeping God in  mind throughout the day.  In the tradition I follow God say "always remember me, and never forget me".  I try to do so as best as possible.

    Best wishes
