    Should The Church Demand Proof that Couples Be Free of HIV/AIDS/STDs Before Solemnizing Marriages?

    A recent medical certificate from a qualified physician may be one of the requirement.

    No, it would be the same as saying you must be free of sin before you marry, a ridiculous idea. HIV and AIDS are cureable. You just need the right people to get the implements to destroy the "Infliction", which does exist, I have seen it happen.

    I don't think a parishoner's health should be any concern of the Church unless the parishoner wishes to share with his cleric.  EVERYone deserves to get married if that is what they want.  What business is it of the Church's if one or both halves of the couple have HIV or AIDS?  Nowhere in the Bible does it say that a couple may marry; but, only if they are free of certain diseases.
