   I've had several dreams where the apocalypse is happening, and the thing thats killing everyone...
   
   are spiders as big as football helmets that melt the flesh when they come in contact with flesh

   Your dream is real, and will come to pass sooner or later. Accept Jesus now and He will save you from the calamity yet to visit the whole world. Read the following Bible passage:
   
   Re:9:20: And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

   Hahahahaha! Dreams are fascinating things aren't they? However, I'm going to have to politely disagree with the previous answer. In dreams, spiders typically mean feminine power or the threat of some domineering mother figure in your life.
