What is it that can assure salvation
What are the Biblical aspect of how Salvation is aquiered
Hmmm, I found 15 different paths to Salvation in the NT, few of which agreed with any others, and many outright contradicting others. My full answer was too long, so I'll have to post a hub.
Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and BE YE HOLY: for I am the LORD your God.
1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so BE YE HOLY in all manner of conversation;
1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, BE YE HOLY; for I am holy.
HOLINESS
what do i win? ;o)
but now the question is: Whats the difference between a holy person and a nice/good person? hehe.
there nothing you can do to get salvation for Jesus did ALL THE WORK. you have to always pray to the Lord for forgivness and try to walk like Jesus and pray and plead with the Lord and maybe then the Lord will.
Jesus requires only one thing to be able to be invited to the Kingdom of God; "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son and whosoever believes in him, he shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condem the world, but to save the world through him. . ." John 3:16
In other words, all you have to do is to believe. Believe in God and Jesus and that Jesus is God's only begotten son and that he was sacrificed by us so that he could fulfill God's plan to save us from ourselves. All you have to do is BELIEVE everything else will fall into place.
Salvation is a free gift from God, called his Grace, it is for all humanity. To partake of this reality, one needs to be Born Again of the Water and the Holy Spirit. The water is the Blood of Jesus that covers us like a garment and God recognizes you as a partaker of his Kingdom. The Holy Spirit lives in you and takes you where God wants you to go.
Jhn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jhn 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
This is your guarantee, regardless of what you do after, its Gods work that saved you not your work.
Some of the things here are correct but are incomplete, We are all sinners by our default setting whether we like it or not. Jesus, pure, holy and without sin paid the price for our sins when He died on the cross. (For the wages of sin is death...eternal separation from God in a place called Hell) Sin requires a blood sacrifice. He gave His life so that you and I could be saved. To be saved or born again, one must first acknowledge being a sinner and repent of that sin; turn away from sin and ask God for forgiveness. "If thou shalt believe in thy heart and confess with thy mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, thou shalt be saved." Come to Him with childlike faith and receive the gift of God which is eternal life with Him.
can assure salvation through Jesus Christ, etrnal saved ,never lose.
John 3:16
John 10:9, 14:6
Romans 10:9-13
sacrament is not salvation
prayer is not salvation
works is not salvation
salvation comes by and through Jesus and what He did at the cross and our faith in His finished work

For the very many years I was in Church attendance, the Kingdom of God was always equated with Heaven. It was a future event that only those who believed in Jesus would see either when they died or were raptured, whilst the remainder of humanity would go to hell. A Christian could be disqualified...
