   Many things have been said about this world I know what I have experienced in this world that prove other wise about his claim.I believe more in the pain I feel than some one that tells me that pain don't hurt.

   it's impossible to prove one way or the other
   
   Just like the claim that a God DID create the universe.
   
   Although, i would argue that those that claim that a God created the world would have to provide some proof...
   
   so, it's easier to believe that NO god did it than it is to believe that a god DID do it.

   Hawking is having problems with his religious ideology. He has been perpetually chasing his tail around in circles.....from THEIST ---> AGNOSTIC ---> ATHEIST ---> and back again!
   
   So why would anyone take seriously someone who obviously belongs in an insane asylum, is beyond me.
   
   CREATION, in any form, whether under the guise of God, a singularity, or from nothing, is easily shown by a Kindergarten child to be completely IMPOSSIBLE because it is an ontological contradiction. It is a square circle.
   If you disagree, or can explain why “creation” is indeed an ontological possibility, you are welcome to post your explanation is my cosmological argument hub.
   
   Next time....try telling a Kindergartener that the basketball on his driveway will be moved by ‘a’ cause in motion. Then you’ll see where he tells you to go.....

   Pardon if I copy-paste this from a previous answer, but i can't word it any better than this.
   
   In the book, Hawking uses the concept of gravity and its eventual cause of the big bang rather than God poking nothing with his finger and causing it to explode. Unfortunately, this will be taken out of context many times by people saying "hawking proved there is no god. Take that Religion!" and not understanding that he is explaining the nature of the universe and the forces that inhabit it caused the big bang.
