   how can i keep myself from being scared when i feel a spirits presence?
   
   I haven't seen a spirit since I was young and saw my great great grandma.But I can still feel them. I get cold chills and will feel like somethings watching me. It doesn't feel evil but its not my house. Its me any house ive ever lived in these things have happened. Wether it was just the cold chills or things moving. It scares me a little bit and I don't know how to deal with it.

   All who have taken on physical bodies have previously chosen an eternal path of personal progression.  Those who have never had bodies chose not for their own progression and now serve to bring us down into their state of misery and self pity.  As long as you are on the track of progress you have enmity over the disembodied.  Even in cases of possession one cannot be arbitrarily possessed unless one wills it to be or is too weak to control it.
   
   Now, for those who lived this life and have passed on like your ancestors you need not fear them.  If they are who you say they are then consider them as companions.  All other possibilities should not be feared as long as you remember that you have power over them and not the other way around.  To submit to fear is playing right into their hands because that hinders your progress in this life.

   I would suggest that either the spirit is the spirit of God, or if it is an evil spirit, that you pray to God to protect you from it.

   In the name of Jesus we have authority over demons, evil spirits and our life!  God doesn't want us living in fear, please seek Him for your freedom & safety.

   If I sense a spirit is dark (and often I'll get a gut feeling or a sense of fear) then I simply send it to the light, or call in Archangel Michael and have him escort the presence to the light.  I believe if you'd rather not feel the presence, you can call in angels to protect you from feeling them.  Angels are ready to protect us at all times when we ask.  Also, invite spirits of joy and light into your home.  Welcome them.  Burn a candle for them.  I believe you will see a shift in the way you sense the spirits and in the way they appear to you.  I remember one time when I was early in my first marriage.  I woke up in the middle of the night.  When I looked at the foot of the bed, I saw a dark figure of a woman, moving around the side of the bed toward me (not in a threatening way--simply moving).  However, I was not used to seeing spirits in the middle of the night and all I knew to do was slip under the covers and hope she would leave.  I guess she did.  I didn't see spirits for a long time after that simply because I don't think I could handle it.  Now I see angels and lights and so many beautiful formations, it makes me thankful for my humble spirit-seeing beginning when all I knew to do was dive into the darkness and comfort of my covers.  You are a very spiritual person if you can see these beings.  Talk to them, if it feels safe, see what they have come to tell you.  You can do this always knowing you can send them away in a flash to the light if need be.  Good question.  It brought back a lot memory for me.  Thank you.

   Keep yourself from feeling scared by what I call, "Positive Affirmations." Redirect your thoughts, prayer seems to help. Sometimes we can let our imagination run away with us, causing the situation to become larger and snowball. Make a plan for yourself, just in case it happens again. Ideas: Call a friend, if your Church is close, stop in, decide now how you will handle this situation should you experience it again.
