I think it's because people are weary of anything that they don't understand or anything that is different from them. People assume that the standards that they live their own lives upon apply to everyone else too.
People always judge because they are afraid. Why else would you bother to look down on someone, other than to make yourself feel better about your own deficiencies?
We need to look at people, see what's wrong with them and have sympathy/empathy we need to suffer as they suffer and do everything within our power to relieve that suffering.
It is a way of Identification of spirit of what is right and what is wrong therein.God set the standards and life is determine by those standards.
Negative and positive thoughts and conduct is define according to which is good and which is evil.We ALL have judgment in one way or the other.Everyone.Knowledge separates the ability of doing so.
