If humans had never been created or evolved, would there still be a god?

Assume all else remains as it is today.  The only difference is it came to be this way without human beings or any other being capable of conceptualizing god having ever existed.

This is a tricky question. As a Christian, I believe that: Yes, there would still be a God, just as He was here for all that time before we were.

On the other hand, I see what you are getting at. That God's existence was invented by humans. Or, I think that's what you are getting at. This is where faith comes into play. I have had doubts, and MANY questions, as I am sure many Christians, as well as all religions do from time to time. But that comes along with spiritual growth.

I totally agree with Hannah.. An almighty, powerful & faithful God exist w/o a beginning and end even if we humans were not created. And He will continue to exist until eternity smile)

I bon't think that we have yet determined, if other creatures believe in God or not.
There either is a God or there isn't a God, how far we have evolved cannot change that.

Thanks HannahRiley, you are correct about what I was getting at.  This question is my lead-off, as it were, in a series of hubs to explore this venue.  As you can see from my profile, this has been on my mind for a very long time.  Many thoughts have rattled around in my head and I have come to a few unshakable conclusions, but the real questions are still not answered very well.  By organizing my thoughts in writing and responding to other's thoughts, I hope to bring things more into focus.

God is likely to have created us through evolution.

There are planets and stars out there without human or aliens. God still exists in the brightest star to the most remote corner of the universe
He is in every molecule, photons, electrons and even every sub-atomic particles. He has existed even before we conceptualized who we are.
God does not need humans to conceptualized God.

God does not need us for anything.
