Probably because it hasn't ended the last 43 times it was predicted to. They figure odds are that eventually someone will get lucky and hit the lottery. They're just buying quick pick tickets and hopin' for a pay out.

The human mind is a strange thing. For it to house as much intelligence as it does and that it can still be convinced of things like this is baffling to me.

I don’t believe the worlds going to end I do believe we are entering a time of change, the old must come to an end for the new things to be born, it’s time to wake up and realize the world we live in is about to change.  “A lot of the ideas of dooms day comes for the Mayan calendar the long count calendar, but I’ve done some research and it has reached it count to 13000th years, but it will re-set back to zero and start a new count, it will begin again, but a transformation will take place, the old must come to the end for the new to begin. So they say. The Sun has started awakening and there could be a large solar flare that could touch earth, but it not predicted to totally reach it true potential until January 2013, then maybe something big could happen, time will tell. All I can say to all these dooms day scenarios. Just trust in the Lord and believe in him.
