    Does darkness really exist?

    What is darkness?

If you take a deep pan in your kitchen and put a lid on it, the inside of that pan will be dark. When you take it off the inside of the pan will be visible with the light from the sun or kitchen lights on the ceiling.

Does that darkness inside the pan really exist or is it that only light makes things visible, but if there is no light, it is dark, but there is darkness only because there is no light? If you know what i mean?

Please try to elaborate on this for me if possible.

    Thanks.

If light exists, How can darkness not exist?  Darkness is the absence of light, just as black is the prescence of all colour and white is the absence of all colour.

Nothing is visible without the presence of light.

he only reason we see things is because of the reflection of light from them, reaching our eyes. (Colour also doesn't exist without light)

    Hope this helps.

Gee, according to science there is no darkness.  Darkness is only a matter of perception and belief.
