    The same reason missionaries went anyone to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ: for salvation and truth and grace and forgiveness to reign. Most cultures did (and still do) have their own gods. The missionaries brought the final truth. Jesus told His disciples to tell of salvation in Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth!

    (As you can tell, I'm a Christian.)

    There is only ONE God...creator of the universe and Savior of mankind. All Christians are called to proclaim the Truth of the One true God and His plan of salvation for those who believe! There is only one way to the Father through Jesus the Son. The moment a person believes, he/she is indwelt by the Holy Spirit (the Comforter). The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are ONE...the Triune Godhead. All other gods are false gods and following their paths lead to spiritual destruction. People need to be told the truth. Amen?
