yes, but it has been done, or acted upon. When Jesus Christ died on the cross. That is the only action that can redeem sin : today & forever.
According to Scripture, only Christ can redeem someone for sin and he did it by his death on the cross.
Christ said, I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but by me.
He DID NOT say, I am one of many good ways to Heaven.
No other person claimed Christ died for our sins except Paul (In Romans and 1 Corinthians), He also taught we are saved by faith and only he taught this.
James knowing what Paul taught said:
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
It takes faith and works
recognition of this sin, or whatever you did wrong & choosing to act in the opposite way in any simillar future circumstances will show you have truly learned why this was wrong & have proved this by 'turning around' these future situations.
You may also give guidence to others in simillar situations towards that which you know now to be right.
Sin is not redeemed by our good works. We are cleansed of our sin when we 1.acknowledge our sin 2.repent from our sin 3.ask the Lord to forgive our sin. 1John1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
