Unfortunately a lot of church members view church as "life insurance" or "disaster insurance" instead of learning lessons for how to live a productive and properous life. With each new passing decade, century, or millennium followers start to doubt the world is going to come to an end (in their lifetime). If someone no longer believes they need "insurance" they cancel it. People who turn to God due to fear rather love aren't likely continue to go to church when "the end" doesn't appear to be (imminent). As far as anyone knows "the end times" could be in 5000 A.D. or beyond.
Churches that seem to continue to grow are the ones who have stopped selling fear as the motivation for welcoming god into one's life. Instead of dwelling on "the end times", hell, and damnation they are preaching that God is the father and owns everything and if you (his children) follow his guidelines you will live life more abundantly. The key is to sell people on a better way of life and not simply tell them to endure until the afterlife. Focus on teaching people how to live rather than how to die and you will hold their attention much longer. - One man's opinion! :-)
Luke 18:29-30 (New King James Version)
29 So He said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,
30 who shall not receive many times more (in this present time), and in the age to come eternal life.”
Its because they have become more indulgent in money or politics. Like the Church of England is having a lot of problems recently at the ST Paul's Cathedral.
I believe that some churches (denominations) have lost their faith because they deviate from Scripture. Once done, it doesn't take long for the entire doctrine to fall away.
Churches are to busy with programs and earning money. Some are following the world and the new age thing.
Probably because of so many clergyman molesting young boys that you here so much about, and the cover up's involved RE:escaping justice!!Besides the sooner you accept the fact thet GOD and his ANGLES were EXTRATERRESTRIAL BEINGS the sooner we can do away with them!!!

As a last option after checking with other local groups who were out of funds she went...

What do you think Hebrews 10:24-25 means?Heb 10:24-25 Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching. It would seem that...
