Are the MORMON FUNDDIMENTALISTS closer to GOD for practing POLIGOMY?
Do you believe that the MORMON FUNDIMENTALISTS are closer to GOD for practing Poligomy as stated in the book of Mormon?
No I don't. Just because something is stated in a book doesn't mean it must be taken literally. Everything needs to be understood firstly in the context of how it was written, i.e. the time and what was acceptable then, and secondly in the way it is interpretated, i.e. should we take it as symbolic or literal.
If we should go down the line that this question would suggest that according the the bible, we are all also entitled to twelve slaves each, we can stone our wives if they are unfaithful and we can and probably should burn animals in sacrifice to god.
Common sense and logic needs to be applied to these things, we live in modern times and religion needs to be soon through those lenses, not ancient lenses which no longer apply.
