   Were all those who posed as Angels in the Bible were really angels or merely men posing as Angels?
   
   Given the great difference in the intellectual abilities of the common people and the rulers of Biblical times it is logical to believe that most of the messengers of the rulers posed as Angels from God with a divine message; Divine messages were easily adhered to and mortal messages stood the chance of rejection.

   Angels come in many forms. In Hebrews 13:2, It states: "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it."
   
   There are times even in real life, someone comes out of nowhere to rescue another person in difficulty - maybe on the road, or in a hospital or other place and once they have helped, they leave without a trace. (Angels)
   
   So, those men who posed as Angels in the Bible are real Angels.

   That's an interesting idea, but If the Bible says they were angels, I believe they were angels. I wonder why you say that there were "great differences in the intellectual abilities of the common people and rulers of Biblical times."
   
   I am not a historian but I have not heard that. I think people today, though we have far greater technology are actually less intelligent than people in earlier centuries, including Biblical times.
   
   The Bible is God-inspired or God-breathed. It is written, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." (2Timothy 3:16)
   
   "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:19)
