A two parter: Is there room for faith in science; Is there room for science in faith?
When you have exhausted all logic and have worked within for a long time, you will find that the distinction between the two vanishes...that each is only a different set of anchor points and that you yourself create those distinctions..
I really don't think so...science is purely based on fact, and everything is tested extensively until set in stone. Faith is, well, faith- you just trust what you hear/read. There is no combination of the two that anyone would be happy with, because whatever side you're on, you try and disprove the other.
That all depends on the person, but if you are truly honest with yourself I think that for the most part they are separate. Obviously, religious people still use electricity, and other such amenities, but no religion (as far as I know) accepts evolution, or the big bang. So, in the major defining points, they are at odds with each other.
