Are people who disparage and marginalize religious people bigots?
The World English Dictionary defines a bigot as, 'a person who is intolerant of any ideas other than his or her own, esp on religion, politics, or race.' I am not a religious person but I believe that the personal beliefs of another person should be respected. I have read many hubs recently that address religion as the realm of deluded imbeciles who should be treated with contempt. Are these scathing commentaries and criticisms valid arguments against the existence of anything supernatural or simply hate spouted to belittle people who believe differently?
