Do you believe in surrendering to a higher spiritual being/purpose?
From a Christian perspective, if you mean surrendering to the will of God, YES. Making God's will my own will makes life a lot easier. This happened when I first understood the verse of "The Lord's Prayer", "Your will be done on earth as in Heaven."
Understanding that verse helped me accept that the moment, though I may have a negative perspective towards it, is as perfect as it can be because everything happens according to God's master plan, which takes into account all the details in the entire universe and is founded on His unconditional love for all beings.
Learning to accept the moment as it is, brings calm and clarity and creativity to the mind, ultimately leading one to infinite possibilities which seemed impossible when we had the habit of resisting/judging against the present moment.
Awesome, I completely agree that it is important to accept all situations, instead of resisting them as we have a tendency to want to do. All situations occur for a reason and usually it is so we can learn what we need to know to advance spiritually.
