Why are so many people fighting to keep pray out of school?
If it is a persons right to believe in what they want than why are so many people against pray in school.
Because a lot of people don't like the United States constitution. Particularly the freedom of expression and freedom of religion parts.
I don't think many people are trying to keep prayer out if school; our local highschool has Christian clubs and whatnot, but for those who do, I think it's for two reasons: the constitution states separation of church and state/public school (why religious schools can't get gov funding also) and some people (generally Muslims, Sikhs, Jews, atheists and other religous minorities) feel violated or alienated when a school promotes a religion. so teachers can't do things like class prayer, but students are legally allowed to pray, wear rosaries/skull-caps and have clubs, etc. The other most recent thing I remember was a Jewish student at a public highschool where the graduation ceremony had prayer.
i don't care if people pray in the least but i don't think everyone should have it shoved in their face. which religious prayers should be followed? what are they praying to? is god a sure thing, no it's not. if kids aren't subjected to religion at a young age, they will at least have a chance to decide if they want to believe in some god or not and that's a good thing.

Next week I am to pray for a young man at his funeral who tragically died in a car accident. Our boys grew up together. It is very disheartening to see a promising young man be cut short of life. My boys are devestated as well. The father has asked me to lead the service, including a prayer. They...

Why are people hateful for no reason?I've noticed now on Hubpages, instead of just straight up answering a question, people will attack other people in their answer. For example, they start criticizing religious people when the question has nothing to do with religion. It's like their answer is...
