What would you do if everyone had to do as you say?

If you were the king of the world and people had to obey all your commands, what would you do as their leader?

To start, if you're a totalitarian issuing orders to everyone who has no choice but to obey, you're not their leader. They're not your followers. You're just at the top of a social heap with control of the tools to keep yourself there for a while.

That being said, I'd tell them to stand up, go out, and rid themselves of their tyrannical pols, bureaucrats and other institutional dictators by whatever means are necessary. Then I would resign.

"if you're a totalitarian issuing orders to everyone who has no choice but to obey" - in truth, there is always a choice - even breathing is a choice ... people chose to obey more than they care to admit, even in western societies.

Bring honesty, justice, respect, compassion and discipline to the forefront of our daily doings. Resources would be spent on education, infrastructure and healthcare. All else would follow.

I'd say that I'd do exactly as Mr. Happy has pointed out and furthermore I'd put  in each ministry people who have experience in that particular field to avoid experiments. And I'd promote athleticism which (in its proper form) teaches team work, selflessness and sacrifice for the benefit of all. I would do everything in my power to promote unity and reveal how many more things people have in common than they do differences. Apparently I'm not King/Queen material.
    How about you?

I would go after my three major issues poverty, safety and pollution.  I would have people do everything we can to restore the planet.  I would eliminate poverty by taking away idle resources from the wealthy.  Food water air shelter and safety given

I'd vote for you as world leader RIGHT NOW. You have an excellent perspective.

Okay so the “King of the World” position is instituted, I am elected, everyone has to do as I say, and what would I do?  Well in my opinion I think the best leaders know that they lead as a service to their people.  They are there to balance the needs of their people.  So I think the question would more be, what can I do for you?

Do what is right and lead them to prosperity without hunger or fear. Spread love among all people and treat everyone equally. Teach them how to survive independently.

I would tell people to be quiet. There is way too much noise in this world. People need to stop voicing their opinions every chance they get.

I think I'd get laid a little more often. I mean, could you really resist? Then I'd do other bad things, like have the world pay tribute to me. I'd call it "taxes" or something silly like that. I'd say it's for their protection. Or maybe I'd make up a monster that will get them if they don't pay me tribute. It might be fun. And yet it might get boring. I'd probably eventually tell people to do whatever they want and stop looking to me to tell them what to do. Then someone would probably try to assassinate me. Then I'd be like, okay, let's go back to you guys doing what I tell you.

I would tell them to follow Theravada Buddhism, and send them down the Noble Eightfold Path.
