Are Church "titles" Biblical or traditional>
Jesus never promoted "titles" other than servants (ministers). Now anyone can go online and pay for a church title? Is this truly Biblical or traditional ?
The followers of Jesus, as he walked the earth, had no titles in the Church. Men in the Church, as the Church grew, made up titles. In the Hebrew bible (the OT), we can see Jews, that is the Priesthood and other spiritual leaders in an organized religious group or groups. The New Testament was written, later, after Jesus died and what you see in this Testament, as far as titles are concerned, came, therefore, after Jesus.

Dr. Haddox
