Not one word in the Bible is scary to me. Today I read this verse and feel serious:
(Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14) . . .Fear the [true] God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man. 14 For the [true] God himself will bring every sort of work into the judgment in relation to every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad.
Revelation 20:15 reads: "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." To me, this verse is among the "most scariest" verses in the Bible because this rejection by God is eternal. The lake of fire is/represents eternal death (separation from God) for the balance of eternity.
The most scarest is not the issue. The most important and concerning may be that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50). There is only life in accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The choice is between life and death. Does one have the courage or calling to seek life? Knowing the truth and not making a choice is scary.
Easy. The scariest verse is
Matthew 7:22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'
23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'

Is it more important to study the Bible or to live a Christlike life?I am asking this because I see a huge amount of debate about doctrine, evolution, stem cells, premarital sex and so on, out there in US society, yet I feel convinced that, if Jesus lived today, he would not be engaging in these...

In Christianity, do non believers go to hell? What happens to the people that believe in another religion and another God. If the Christian God is the only true God, then are those people damned?

You know I used be this stern Christian believing that life would not be if it was not for God, Christ; and the Holy Spirit. Now after watching some of the "So called Christian" hubbers post slanders comments about this judgmental God that they believe in I cannot say that I would want to...

Hypothetical Question: What if it were proven there's only one true God and It wasn't your God?For this question, you must use your imagination. You must pretend the premise of the question is true and then answer it accordingly. The premise is that God has been discovered and it's been proven...

Since time immemorial, man has been believing that there should exist a supreme being, who or which brought about good or bad, things which man could not control himself, where thought of as being created or controlled by that being, a being with unimaginable power and capabilities. Man...
