    Yes. Morality gives us a sense of 'right or 'wrong' and it's what determines whether we live as brutes or human beings. As a child I was taught not to steal, to be honest and say 'please' and 'thank you'.

    Justice is a form of morality. So we kill in the name of euthanasia, for example, and we are tried accordingly. We may be asked not to spit in public places or exhibit ourselves naked, etc. This is for the good of others as much as for ourselves.

    Still, much of morality is experienced as we see, make and apply it to our different traditions and environments. So in that sense, it is not a cosmic or universal law. Still it helps to create a cohesiveness without which, there will be much more crime and an unstable society or world.

    Love is the highest law, but it encompasses morality which is lower down the scale of things but definitely essential. All created things are useful and nothing comes from an empty void.
