What do you think happens to you after you die?

What do you believe in? Reincarnation (and which type), Heaven, nothing at all or something else? Is it a part of your religious beliefs or just a personal ideology?

Currently I don't have a "belief" about what happens after death. This is a subject I'll have to do more research on. I think several things are possible, but none of them are backed by solid evidence. There may not even be an "afterlife."

The point is that no one really knows. Some religious people will try to tell you they "know" what happens after death, but it's really only a belief based one of the many "holy books" on which many religions are based.

I would challenge anyone who claims to know about an afterlife. Mostly likely you will find that their "evidence" is based on poorly understood scientific phenomena or other subjective experiences.

I sincerely hope that when I die most of my molecules will be recycled and become part of the ongoing fabric of life. A few stray ones, the molecular rebels, will probably head straight off for a black hole or the source of all dark matter wherever that might be.
Whether these molecules will constitute a consciousness or not is anyone's guess - I won't be around to influence them - so the likelihood of me knowing I have indeed been reborn is pretty remote.
As you might have guessed I do not have a faith, nor do I need one at present, but have nothing against anyone else believing in whatsoever they choose as long as it doesn't impinge upon or undermine my current existence.
I'll die happy in the knowledge that a little bit of my corpus might become part of a beautiful dandelion or a hazel tree leaf or the beak of a hummingbird.
