Why did God wait billions of years before making an appearance in the form of Jesus?

Religion seems to be a hot topic right now.  I would love to hear from religious people about this topic.  Why did God not make his appearance 1 or two billion years ago?

The religious had to invent a representative of their god in order to start yet another version of "ways to control the masses".
Everyone was tired of the old gods, and along comes someone that kind of sort of fit the description of the messiah, so they ran with that.
Martyrs are easy figureheads for uneducated, superstious folks, so the story just grew and grew.
    Someone learned to write!
Crazy magic times! Entertainment soap opera style! Yes, I'm going with that.
P.s. the religious are going to say that god is everywhere, all the time, even in your toast.

I notice that no believer has answered this question.

Well, they can't, so they just ignore it. Very much like they ignore the parts of religion that they disagree with or don't like very much. How man Christians turn down shrimp for instance?

Me? I'm fine, thanks for asking. But you said in your other comment here that "GOD is not in control in the earth." So make up your mind, is he POWERFUL or POWERLESS? Or just nonexistent? Ignoring you again, I am.

Austin: I KNOW  You LOVE the LORD but ...!
We have "inner strength" to ACTIVATE HIS "POWER" (THE SPIRIT)
"IF" one BELIEVES so much until action is manifested "on earth!"  POWERFUL!!!
      ALL "SPIRITUAL!!!" Beyond man's understanding!
      HE'S "Waiting!"

I usually don't respond to questions by "Unbelievers," BUT GOD told me to give you an answer.  The reason I don't respond, I have found that their intent is only to "Mock" the Word of God.  Proverbs 6:16-19 lists "things that GOD hate" and amongst those are {paraphrasing} "...feet that be swift in running to mischief..." and "...he that soweth "discord" among brethren."

In response to your question, "Why did God wait billions of years before making an appearance in the form of Jesus?" Genesis 1:28 says, “And GOD blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have “dominion” over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over EVERY LIVING THING THAT MOVETH UPON THE EARTH.”   Since we are a “living thing that moveth upon the the earth,” it included us also!

Why then do we “blame God” for things that are going wrong in the earth?  Were “WE” not given “dominion?”  Why do we ask questions such as “Why does God “allow……?”  “We” have been given authority!!!  IT IS WRITTEN!  Since GOD said HE has given “US” “dominion,” HE is not responsible for “ANYTHING” that happens on earth - we are!!!  Psalms 138:2 says “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy TRUTH:” for thou hast magnified thy word  above all thy name.”  Did you hear?  "HIS WORD has been magnified above HIS NAME?"  Once GOD speaks WORD, HE “NEVER” goes back on IT!   Therefore, “WE” have authority on earth and GOD will NOT INTERFER or HE would go back on HIS WORD or LIE!!!

Consequently, HE has no "authority" on earth because it was given to "US!"  He then had to get "man" to speak of HIS coming, through The Prophets since "man" only had "authority!"  He also had to come in the form of a "man" so HE would have "authority" on earth since HE didn't/doesn't anymore!

Austin:  You need to "Study" HIS WORD more!  Regarding "shrimp" or ANYTHING edible, Scripture says "Let no man therefore judge you in meat..." being (v18) "...vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind" (Colossians 2:16; 18)!

My eyes fell upon Colossians 3:25 "But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons!"

It's TIME we ALL get the Bible out and "learn to read" the ONLY thing that matters!  It's available to ALL!

Yes!  So HP "Unbelievers" would know GOD is not in control in the earth, WE ARE!
The earth is Satan's kingdom!  Can't you tell?

Because God actually followed a pattern of logic and wants us to use our senses to find Him.

Jesus came onto the scene during the reign of a real historical empire (Rome), was crucified on a real Cross and interacted with real historical people (e.g., Pilate). The Messiah was never divorced from reality but intimately related to it which is exactly what the gospels in the New Testament speak about: real people providing real eyewitness accounts of what they saw, heard and experienced in real life. Certainly, God did not need a human expire to "get the job done" but this is what the Bible reveals as to how God works: through creation (e.g., the burning bush and Christ's miracles), so that we don't have to deny our senses and imagine some otherwordly being "out there." Billions of years ago, the world was vastly different and tremendously more isolated, so God "waited" until an opportune time when written records, literacy, urban population centers, communication systems (i.e. roads) and common language (koine Greek) brought many different people together. This empowered the dissemination of Christ's message.

Rome was very good at killing people, so when they crucified Jesus, He really died. Rome had built an expansive communication network so when Jesus rose from the dead, the world knew about it. Because of relatively well-developed education systems, people wrote about Jesus (even Romans, e.g. the letters of Pliny the younger) so that other people could read about Jesus. In the Jewish Talmud for example, Jesus is written about (so He did exist) and the book even states that He performed miraculous wonders. The Talmud, of course, labels Him as a sorcerer and claims that the source of the miracles was less-than-admirable.

God "waited" so that nothing had to be invented because a myriad of historical figures used their senses and have memorialized what they observed for us to sense. This way, God doesn't coerce you into believing anything but invites you to investigate the truth claims for yourself.

God only waited thousands of years before making an appearance in the form of Jesus Christ.
