    Is the Mind the Brain?

    No, I don't believe so.
It's almost like asking is the heart love?
The brain is an organ which can be kept alive with machines.
In other words it's possible for (the lights to be on) but there is "no one is home". The brain is visible and the mind is invisible.
The "mind" is very much still a mystery of our psychological thoughts, imagination, analytical thinking, personal ego, beliefs, and subconscious activity.

"With the lights on and nobody home?" Ive read about people who have comeout of coma and can recall the conversations or stories read to them when in a comatose state. To me that is like trying to have faith..its a blind walk, if you know what I mean

Yes and no I believe. The brain tells you what to do, when to move your arms, legs, talk, etc.. But the mind is a mystery, everyone's is different and it is the one organ in our body we know very little about. Difficult to answer because we know so little about the workings of the brain.
